Pretty Pink
I borrowed this card from my friend, Donna - Thank you! It is so cute and so easy too! A lot of times I don't think to leave the card base "open" for everyone to see. But some tone-on-tone stamping fills up the space very nicely! A little bit of DSP and some ribbon. Beautiful! I will also admit I have yet to make a "tag" with my Stampin stuff (bit of a heads up I will be hosting a Christmas Tag Class should be fun!) I love how she added the small tag to the front of the card - simple and sweet and adds dimension to the front.
Then, BAM, on the inside she adds an other cute tag! Wonderful! I often forget that the inside of my cards need Stampin too and this is a great way to add without always having to put a sentiment.
Great card and thank you again Donna for letting me post it!!

I might have crossed a whole new level of crazy! I was asked to have sell some of my cards at the local "Bounty in the County" fair they are having in Tofield, AB on Aug 9 and of course I jumped at the chance!
So I am now in the process of make 200 cards in two weeks!!!
Am I crazy???
So I am working on make 8 cards in 25 different designs. Do you have any favourites that you think I should make up? Email me and let me know!! (deelitefulstampin@gmail.com) If the posts aren't every day for the next few weeks it is because I am buried under a pile of paper in my craftroom!
Wish me luck!
Here I go!!

Soft and Subtle
Yes you have seen this card before but I made some minor changes and wanted to share them with you? Can you spot them???
Biggest change - colour: So Saffron and Pool Party
Small Change - ribbon I made a tail with the new cotton ribbon (man this is great stuff!)
I wanted to show you how a card can look so different just by changing a few small things. I have someone special to share this with today and I just know they are going to love it!

Circles All Around
You all by now know my motto "quick and easy!!" The easier the better as we all know with children down-time does not come easily! I had a lot of fun whipping up this card and it came together in 5 minutes!
- background colour is Crumb Cake cut at 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
- Whisper White 5 1/4 X 4
- Moonlight DSP punched with my 2 1/2" circle punch
- grabbed old faithful - Work of Art Stamp set with Lost Lagoon and Basic Grey
- finished it off with Lost Lagoon stitched ribbon (can't even begin to tell you how much I LOVE this ribbon!!)

Choose Happiness 3
An other one from Sherry and it is a really great card! Not only does it use a great stamp set (Choose Happiness) and great colours (Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist), it has an offset fold! Hopefully you can tell from the photos but the card front is off set to the left so that when the card is closed you are seeing some of the inside of the card (am I making sense or just rambling??)
By off setting the fold you can have part of your embellishments hanging off the card front which adds a bit more dimension to the cards! Love it and a million thanks you to Sherry for giving me these last three cards!!Dee-Litefully Yours,

Choose Happiness 2
An other one from Sherry today - this card shows that you don't need a lot going on to have a beautiful card. She kept the focal point clustered together which gives punch and the Tangelo Twist and Lost Lagoon make a lovely colour combo
Sorry for the short post again today!

Choose Happiness 1
Over the next three days I am going to be sharing with cards that were given to me by my Upliner Sherry. She makes such gorgeous cards and it such an inspiration to me!
I love how she added some stamped images to the DSP - why have I never thought that of?? Lost Lagoon goes so well with black and white too doesn't it??

DSP Scraps
Like many of you I have scraps of paper that I save just because it might be big enough for me to use again - its using these scarps that I have trouble with!
This card came together quickly and helped to use up scraps that I had lying around. The DSP sitting on the diagonal just gives this card a little more punch.
As this month is Just Because July I didn't put a sentiment on it so now I can send it to anyone!

All Round Hi
Should be back from camping today - and hopefully we had a good time (I will let you all know tomorrow!) Todays card is one I am quite proud of. It came together in no time and just looks great - if I do say so myself!
If you are like me you have tons of DSP and other "pretty paper" in your stash that you just don't know what to do with. This card is a great way to showcase some of it.
This card was fun to make and just by changing the punch shape you will change the look!
Have a Dee-Liteful Day

- Cut your DSP and top colour (in this case Bermuda Bay) at 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
- use different size circle punches to make "holes" in your top colour.
- Punch 3/4" circles out of complimentary colours found in the DSP - here Real Red and Early Espresso
- Stamp your sentiment on Very Vanilla (which is also my card base) and punch it out - I also layered it on Real Red just to make it pop again.

Basic Black
This card took no time and at all it looks so elegant doesn't it? I started with a Smoky Slate card base - something I haven't done before - I always have to remind myself that the base doesn't have to be white or vanilla. I added the two strips of Real Red on each side, Basic Black was used on the front.
I embossed the Dahalia in Silver on the front and it just pops off the page now! A ribbon in silver and a few rhinestones added just the right finishing touches. I decided not to add a sentiment to this one so it can now be used for any occasion.
I am so Dee-lighted that you joined me today!

Zig Zag Hello
Quick post today we are getting ready to go camping this weekend and I am so looking forward to it!Something different for you today! I wanted to use up some scarps that I had and this is what I came up with. The colours I used today are Pool Party and Wild Wasabi - they go well together don't they?
I encourage you to use up scarps that you have lying around and to try different colour combos.
The zig-zags are also out of my comfort zone - I find the zig zag DSP hard on the eyes when it is in a big piece; however, cut small like this it has a nice effect! I broke up the space by punching out some starts with my Itty Bitty Punch - love these little guys! And the Deco Labels are quickly becoming a go-to with my Big Shot!

Card guts
Here is the Card guts for last month (a bit late with this post sorry!) The flag DSP was a challenge to use but I am quite happy with the turn out! The supplies we were given were
- Whisper White card back
- A piece of the Flag DSP (from the Maritime collection)
- And a piece of Real Red
I am going to be giving this card to my hubby as today we celebrate our 8 year anniversary! And I can truly say I am more in love with him now than ever!

DSP Dots
Today's card was so fast! I started with Hello Honey card stock and decided to run the whole card front through the Big Shot with the Lots of Dots embossing folder. Used up some DSP I had a bit left of (waiting for my order to come in - I am quite low on DSP after all the treat holders I made!) Rich Razzleberry flag background with Whisper White on the front. Sentiment in Hello Honey with a few candy Dots added to finish it all up! This card is great for using up scraps and again simply changing the DSP would change the entire look of the card!

Hexagon Challange 4
This card went a totally different way then I ever would have thought to go and it looks so great! Christine made this one and she punched the hexagon out of the Whisper White then added her stamped hexagons on top of the openings with dimensionals! I never would have thought to do this but I am definitely going to CASE this and use it - because the outcome is so fresh and new!
I want to thank all the ladies who did the challenge and also thank them for allowing me to copy and share their designs with all of you!

Hexagon Challange 3
Lynette made this card and I really do love how she used only two colours - Elegant Eggplant and Night of Navy really make a bold combination! She spent time making sure everything lined up and the outcome is truly beautiful!
I am off today so see my good friend Donna. We are going to grab a bite to eat and then go and see Wicked! So very excited! And I will be giving her my copy of this card today.

Hexagon Challange 2
This card was made by Julie. It is so different and I love it! She told me that she stresses out if things are perfect so she has started to "throwing things on the page" and where they land is where she sticks them. The "Hello Friend" sentiment was placed and purpose and I like how she just kept it on the white background and lifted the sentiment with a dimensional! This goes to show you that it doesn't have to be perfect placement to get a great card!

Hexagon Challange 1
It amazes me every time how creative people can be! I had some ladies doing some crafting and I gave them a "challenge" They all go the same materials and colours and they had to create a card using them. So over the next few days i am going to show you what they came up! It is so cool to see how different ideas come from the same products! Here are the supplies I had for them to use
- Whisper White card stock - one for the card base and a 5 X 4 sheet of "scraps"
- Night of Navy cut at 5 X 4
- Ink pads in: Elegant Eggplant, Night of Navy, Garden Green and Cajun Craze
- Six Sided Sampler Stamp Set
- Six Sided Punch
Over the next few days I will be posting their creations - and they are ALL so different! We will still be sticking with the July theme of Just Because July!
This one was made by Jodi. She used the Night of Nave as her base and then stamped and stuck the hexagons on to it. I love the honey-comb effect!Dee-Lited with the turn out

Wonderfully Easy
The name says it all! Wonderfully Easy! Change the DSP and you change the look completely!
- Cut your background 5 X 3 3/4 then chop it into three
- Add your DSP to the top and bottom and your Whisper White to the centre
- Stamp your sentiment
- Using the Itty Bitty Star Punch - I cut three stars in some Blackberry Bliss I had scarps of (bonus!)
- A couple of Rich Razzleberry Dots (I found with the dots that you can't really tell the difference between Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss - although now that I have told you you probably will!)

Flags
I had the flag stamps and punch still out from the last card I made so I made an other one! Clean and simple is how this card turned out. Notice again that I left empty space but it works!
- Bermuda Bay is the background
- Flags are stamped in; (from top right, down) Cajun Craze, Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey
- A bit of Bermuda Bay taffeta ribbon (which I didn't have to fight with nearly as long to get a bow!) and one rhinestone on my "hi" and I was done

Shades of Purple
I am really loving the look of one colour cards and with Stampin Up using colour families is so easy! I have made a few different cards in different colour families and wanted to do one in purple but I wanted to do it differently. I bought the Flag stamp set and punch during the Sale-a-bration and haven't really used it yet, so I pulled it out and decided to have a go with it! The background is Perfect Plum, and the stamps and flags are; (from left to right) Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss.
I got the flags stamped, punched and cut out and added the Rich Razzleberry Ribbon but the card felt "empty". I hadn't used bakers twine in a while so I grabbed it and thought "hey you haven't used a button in a long time either" Got out my button, wrapped my twine, fought with getting the twine through the button hole. Fought again with tying the bow (one day this will come easy to me!) Once it was on it added the perfect touch!

Oh Happy Day
We all have DSP that we buy and then if you are like me you don't know what to do with it. How about using it as background? This card was given to me by my Upliner Sherry and I am definitely going to be trying the DSP as background myself.
The thing to watch when using busy DSP as background is that the rest of your card should be pretty simple and make sure you break up the empty space so it doesn't become to overwhelming!

Inverse
Whats better than one card in 5 minutes? How about two!!!
TIP: use the first background (so in this picture the white) to punch out the shapes you need (so the postage punch and flower punches) no one will see that the white isn't "whole" and you won't waste paper - an other reason this card is so fast because you only have to cut the paper once!
Dee-Lited you joined me
Diana
- Pick your two colours and get your card bases ready
- cut the first background 5 1/4 X 4
- Cut the second background 5 X 3 3/4
- Use the postage punch, and the Itty Bitty Flower punch on both colours
- Attach
- Add sentiment and rhinestones and you have two cards done!

Envelope Card
Fun Fold Friday is back! So easy and so fun! Us your Envelope Punch board to make an envelope of what ever size you want (mine was made from a 9 X 9 square). I used Rich Razzleberry as I love the deep purple hue.
The inside of the envelop becomes your card, add a belly band around the envelope to keep it closed and you have a fun and different card to send to someone.
I want you to note the ribbon on the left hand side - Diana made a mistake with her first score line and didn't want to waste the paper so a few glue dots and some ribbon covered that right up and gives the outside a bit more zing!

Colourful Cat
Quick post today - we are leaving for Drumheller for a few days and the boys are so excited to take Poppa to see the dinosaurs! I was given this card from an other demonstrator and wanted to share it with all of you because of the colours used. These colours - Crushed Curry, Island Indigo and Melon Mambo with a bit of Basic Black make for a very bold card. I love how she used circles of DSP!
Looking forward to a Dee-liteful trip

Seeing Spots
Just Because July is going to start today! All my cards for this month are going to be - you guessed it - Just Because.
My first card of the month was sooo fast! Changing the colour of the card would give a whole different feel as well. For this card - Pistachio Pudding background cut 5 1/4 X 4
- Whisper White 5 X 3 3/4
- Using the circle stamp from Work of Art in Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride (who knew these colours would go so good together?)
- Used two different sizes of circles from my Framlits, a splash of colour on the smaller, a sentiment and some pearls and through in a few dimensionals and you are done!

Canada Eh?
Happy Canada Day!!
July 1 always feels like the real start of summer to me. And with the start of July I have for you my calendar page. This was taken last year in Winnipeg with me and my boys at Assiniboine Park. The huge maple leaf was just asking for a photo op - I had the picture snapped by my camera gal - Martha - and knew I was going to be using it for my calendar. July just needed to have red, so working out of my comfort zone I used red as my background. The white dots tied in nicely with the Canada theme and of course I needed to add a bit of pop so I put the yellow as an accent colour. Once I had it all glued down, I felt the page needed something more, so I started digging in my supplies and found a few pieces of red ribbon - wrapped those around and it did just the trick! I will be honest with you all, I don't always thing through my pages, a lot of the times I start with a picture and one colour in mind and then I just play around with different ideas until it all starts to feel "right" So when you start a scrapbook page (or card) don't be so concerned with the end result - start small and see where your imagination takes you!
Have a Dee-Liteful Canada - we are off to celebrate!
