Sweet Treat Box

You all know that my sweet little sis is getting married and I have been busy getting organized for that. I made this box and she loved it so I am going to make a bunch (I believe 150 of them to be exact) for the candy bar they are having at the reception - how good is that going to be!
An other cute box which is going to be great for the little treats that it will hold!
  • base cut 7 X 7 square
  • score at 2 1/16 on all sides
  • Lid, DSP 6X6
  • score at 1 1/2 on all sides
  • add your embellishments on the top (I used the Flower Patch stamp set at framelits, love it!)
  • Ta Da a cute little box!
I am going to modify it to make smaller ones for the boys to take to school for Halloween treats - should be fun and for sure I will share that with you all too!

Card Holder

I have been spending a lot of time making cards lately and have decided to try my hand at making 3D projects. They are just as fun as cards and I love how they can be practical too!! This card box is a perfect example of that, I got the instructions from Pootles.com a great demonstrator from England. It fits 6-8 cards with envelopes depending on the embellishments used on your cards. I am going to make some more so I have somewhere to store my cards!
Here are the dimensions you will need and have fun with it!
  • card stock 8 1/4 X 11
  • score along the long edge at 5 1/4 and 7
  • score along the short edge at 1 3/4 and 6 1/2
  • fold it all up and add your DSP 3 1/2 X 12 scored at 1 7/8, 3 5/8, 8 3/8, and 10 1/4
* the DSP will not fit all away around the box but you won't see the back so that is okay!
Embellish as you like!

Treat Holder

So my middle son, Tank (this is a nickname obviously) has his last day of preschool today so I made these cute little treat holders for him to give to his friends are school.
  • one sheet of DSP with a strip of Sticky Strip down oneside, roll into a toilet paper tube
  • Add sSticky strip to the inside of one short end and pinch close (if you have a crimper you can crimp the end
  • Turn the roll 90degrees and crimp
  • punch two holes in the top and stick your ribbone through
  • add your sentiment and you are done
I have put a small box of Smarties in each one. And of course, Boo (my oldest and also a nickname) sees them and asks if I will make some for him to take. So I have 10 done and I am now working on 25 more! I am really glad they are quick and easy!!!

Have a Dee-Litefully Day!

Mini Box of cards

I was playing around in my craft room this weekend (thank you Sweetie! He took the kids and left me to be for 3 glorious hours!) I made this cute little 3X3 card box and five cards with the new In Colors! Aren't they great!?! I will admit that I didn't love them when I first saw them but now I love how rich the colors are!

These five cards were so easy to make and they were the very first 3X3 cards I have done. I wanted to keep them simple and really showcase the colors so I kept everything clean and easy. I decided to try and use my score pad to make some indentations on the card base. It really just added to the overall design and sharp lines of the cards.

The box was made with a piece of paper Sahara Sand 5 1/4 by 10" and embellished with some of the new DSP. The stamp is from my new favourite (and go-to) stamp set Work of Art.

The five cards fit perfectly into the box and it would make a great gift for someone (a teacher or friend perhaps?) I am going to be giving these as a Door Prize for my workshop (less than a week to go!)

I hope you are as Dee-lited with this little post as I am!
