A Wedding Thank You
Today is a BIG day! I will be getting my Holiday catalogue pre-order today! The Holiday Catalogue is AMAZING and I can't wait to start creating and sharing some of the great new products coming out! But lets get on with the card!
My little sister - Catherine - is getting married and I will be making the Save the Dates, wedding invites and thank you cards - don't worry I will be posting about this adventure while it is under way. Cath and I are still hashing out details with the invites but she has chosen this style for her thank you cards, so I have started to make them up for her. Don't they look so elegant? The colours she has chosen are similar to Elegant Eggplant and Bermuda Bay so half of everything will be in those two colours. This card was actually quite quick to put together. I ran the Elegant Eggplant through the Big Shot with the swirls envelop (which isn't stampin up I am afraid but we all have items in our craft rooms from different places right?) cut them into the flags then added the white and black strip a quick stamp and it was done.
Quick tip: I used my hexagon punch to make the flags! This way I would insure that they were all even and looked the same - I will be sure to post pictures of how you do that in the next few days - once I have the hubby home to hold the camera while I am doing it lol!
Dee-Litefully Yours,
Diana
If you would like me to mail you out a catalogue send me an email and I will be sure to get it out to you! Ordering starts on Aug 28 so don't wait!!

Choose Happiness 1
Over the next three days I am going to be sharing with cards that were given to me by my Upliner Sherry. She makes such gorgeous cards and it such an inspiration to me!
I love how she added some stamped images to the DSP - why have I never thought that of?? Lost Lagoon goes so well with black and white too doesn't it??
Dee-Lited you stopped by today

Basic Black
This card took no time and at all it looks so elegant doesn't it? I started with a Smoky Slate card base - something I haven't done before - I always have to remind myself that the base doesn't have to be white or vanilla. I added the two strips of Real Red on each side, Basic Black was used on the front.
I embossed the Dahalia in Silver on the front and it just pops off the page now! A ribbon in silver and a few rhinestones added just the right finishing touches. I decided not to add a sentiment to this one so it can now be used for any occasion.
I am so Dee-lighted that you joined me today!

Mother's Day 2
Same card as yesterday but different colour scheme. I made the background paper about a 1/2" wider than on the previous card and changed the sentiment as well. The red and brown colouring make this card look a bit more elegant that the previous one. Red is a colour that I don't use very often, and find intimidating - maybe because my hair is red and redheads don't always get the best rap (although I do have to admit the red-head temper is no lie!) However, the bit of Brown Sugar paper (Stampin Up) helps to soften the colour and make it more sophisticated. So here are the two cards side by side.
Amazing how the same layout can look so different.
Anyway, supper is about ready to go on the table and it smells Dee-licious!
Have a crafty day!
